Yep ... learned modern in school, perfected ancient outside Montreal. Fact ... just about everyone in Quebec knows English well enough - that's why I said you have to TRY to speak French up there. Given how the rest of the Dominion's attitude towards those "cheese-eaters and wine drinkers" is, they're a bit touchy about their language.If you TRY, even if you fail miserably, you win and they'll murder YOUR language to make you stop murdering THEIRS. Also paper with pictures of Jackson on them do the trick as well. :) |
