Since I was first there (at street level) in 1962, the entire area has been done over so that any possible trace of either ventilation gratings, or provisions for entrances is long gone. There were even further changes made since I went there in 1983 and observed an IND manhole cover about a half block east of the bulkhead wall. When I went there 5 years ago, the street had been repaved and that manhole was gone. |
