so YOU have been out there with ground penatrating radar? no,stations don`t vanish but blueprints do.I had this same argument with a board member of the ERA about 10 years ago.:show me the blueprints"he said. what really was amusing about this encounter was that he had just shown me & a select handfull of others the blueprints for the signals from beyound the curtain wall up to 106st.I told him "did you ever think that the way you got the blueprints was the same way some other buff who knew it would never be built saved them for posterity?" he was at a loss for words.a friend of his who worked for the t.a.at the time saved them from the garbage & gave them to him.in 1964 I heard from my maintainer that when pitkin yard was first opened he worked the yard as a signal helper.he & his maintainer walked the then opened yard leads to the partially built station.he described it the same way 2 cops I worked with and several members of this board who talked to their friends who had been in the station all described it the same way.please explain this fact to me of how can this be? none of these people have a connection to one another yet they all describe the station exactly alike.what research have you done on this matter? I would like to know.ps,say hello to gene carson for me.
