Police and fire are public goods and ambulances aren't free. Public roads are a common good. Mass transit is neither a common nor public good.Those examples you gave are silly. Do you not see the difference in excludability between the subway and police/fire/roadwork? Mass transit should be run as an economic benefit and not as a social benefit. |
