More importantly APTA is a lobbying organization, one of the few for public transportation. By singling SEPTA out for praise they can potentially ease the battles SEPTA will encounter in the coming three years as Corbitt and the Pennsyltuckians try to withold more of their funding for having the gaul to do a full cost analysis of compressed natural gas.And SEPTA has been doing pretty well of late. I have to give them credit for their internet real time arrival info. Admittedly it's a decade behind the rest of the country, but at least it's finally being implemented. I guess APTA figured now was a good time to get in and claim SEPTA is the best before they made a complete hash of their next generation fare payment system. |
