Isn't the T/O responsible for clearing the front half the train (walks outside train to car before C/R position then walks back up to the T/O cab through the train) and the C/R responsible for clearing the back half the train (walks outside train to last car then back up to C/R position through the train)?

Usually I see this occur with the doors opened, but occasionally I have observed something different that I've only seen on 75 ft cars. The C/R leaves the train, then sticks his/her arm through the open window into his cab to close the train doors. He or she walks to the rear of the train and back outside the train, keying open the doors to let out any passengers still on the train. Then he or she keys open the door of the car at the C/R position to get back onto the train.

Are both of these methods standard procedure?
