Farmingdale is often used to turn trains during rush hour. I am guessing these new trains will cover Bethpage - New Hyde Park customers while Huntington and Ronkonkoma trains skip them (except for Mineola and Hicksville, perhaps). The current service really sucks for Port Jefferson riders on weekends, as they are forced to make a transfer AND ride on locals which are probably SRO before reaching Mineola. |
