Looks like they're recreating some of the old NHRR route! Through the early 1960's there was passenger service between NY and Waterbury via the Naugatuck Valley Line, albeit through Stamford, not Danbury. Earlier, both passenger and freight service was available between Waterbury and Blackstone (very close to Woonsocket) and from there, to Boston. |
