I loved the scene when the young detective is on the BMT Astoria train heading home. There is a great shot of a Standard consist emerging from the 60th Street Tunnel and heading onto the elevated structure next to the QB Bridge. 2nd Avenue El service had been abandoned just 6 years earlier and the track and trackways were probably all still there.Its a great film from a railfan's viewpoint and anyone who loves old movies shot in NYC. |
