If the Pensy controlled the B&O from 1901, why did the Pensy oppose the Narrows tunnel, between Staten Island and Brooklyn, that would have connected the Pensy controlled LIRR to the B&O? NY Gov Al Smith, also "controlled" by the Pensy, killed off the project. |
