One of the better improvements in the TWU was the Union Family Assistance Program in which members having 12-9s could get counselled by members of their piers. In my case, being a shoulder to cry on was more important to me than my own dealing with 12-9s but you don't realize that when you are leaving the MAC. I looked at the video once and don't want to again but I was angered especially at the people who though more important of film at 11 than to pick up a phone, he was on the track for a couple of minutes. I would not have hesitated one second to call the control 800 number or run to the north end and flash the tower operator with my mag light I always carry. The man got what he wanted but didn't deserve what he got :-( |
