I retired in 2009 after 37 years with NY Tel and AT&T. A long time ago NY tel was a good company with thousands of very , sharp, hard working technicians. Over the years many people have left and very few were hired into wireline. There are only a handful of people who know how to fix the complex facilities that connect up everything. Sometimes it takes a month to get a person who knows the difference between thier ass and thier elbow. trust me // I know full well. Before I retired I had to deal with them first hand. many of them just don't give a shit. |
