Just where is the water pipe located?Is it under the North Conduit roadway? As it is a raised roadway, that is where I suspect it is. The grassy mall between the westbound Belt and the North Conduit is wide enough for a two track ROW. I had always hoped for a LIRR EXPRESS ROUTE to Brooklyn, avoiding Jamaica. I believe the water table would make for a difficult subway along that stretch. |
