Analogies aren't there. The Lake and South Side el had to be structurally rebuilt end to end.All they did with the Ravenswood Branch and local North Side L south of Belmont is extend platforms 100 feet, though the Fullerton and Belmont stations were rebuilt from scratch with 3 tracking thru a short area. |
