Once unification was achieved, the plan was to have the 4 track subway continue down Pitkin Av to connect with the LIRR ROW in the vicinity of old Aqueduct with a branch to the Fulton St el which was eventually built and is the one in use today. Liberty Jct was not part of the original plans and the contract book indicated that the existing BMT signaling was to be used S/O Hudson St (80 St) interlocking. |
