When I rode BART in the 1990s, the odd thing was that the "C " cars which were the 2nd generation cars that could be used anywhere in the train had a shaded cab door glass that allowed passengers to see the "operator" but provided no true forward view. The original "A" cars which could only be used on the ends of trains had a large enough operator's vision glass which made a sort of half decent RFW. Depending on the design, there could be a remote chance that the new cars would have some sort of RFW even if it is through a tinted cab door glass. |
