I'm sure they try to take the old stuff off the road on the midnights, but that is not always possible.Late at night, I don't think there are many lay-ups from Far Rock.; there may be a GO uptown where the A is terminating @ 168 with a shuttle beyond it; inspections or barn requests on the south end for an R46 could may it necessary to run a 32 or 42 all night; late PM at 207 they must send 46's to Lefferts on certain intervals so they have something to cut for midnight OPTO........so many factors. I'm sure the c/r's would rather have the security of an R46 against the wall to Far Rock on the midnights too! BTW: those 42's do look hideous. I am so used to seeing them on the J, but when I see them on the A, they look sooooooooo much more beat up! |
