In fact, every time the HSR cost changes, the "no build" option magically goes up. 110 bil, then 175 bil. Gee Ma, why not just say one trillion. Amazing! Prices will be set by the market. If that is the case CAHSR will ALWAYS be subsidised. If the tickets reflect the FULL cost of running the system it will be priced out of the market. Remember the Authorty backed themselves into this corner... Experience indicates that the operational expense is far lower than any competing mode. That ain't the only expense. BY LAW this is supposed to be FULLY SELF SUPPORTING. C'mon Will. |
