That "phenolic smell" was standard crappy Penn State motor oil, wool socks in the journal boxes and brass bearings cooking it all to perfection. I loved the smell of arnines in the morning, smelled like victory. :)Wasn't just the journal bearings, the oil leaked onto the wheel treads too and that's where you got your blue smoke the best from. |
