It's a bit moronic and in poor taste, but we're a very long way from it being even remotely sickening. He raises a good point that the MTA cannot expect to maintain the same level of fare evasion while saving money by reducing station staff levels. It is unfortunate that the implicit message in his statement is that the fare collection equipment should be vandalized such that fare evasion becomes justified. |
