Posted by chuchubob on Sun May 27 21:23:33 2012 BR&W ran a photo freight on Saturday. They run a freight train from Ringoes to Three Bridges and return every Tuesday and Saturday. On Saturday May 26 they added a passenger coach and caboose and ran the freight train as usual until the work at Three Bridges was finished and the southbound return trip was underway. That's when it became a photo freight, with runbys over the South Branch Raritan River (northern boundary of Raritan Township) and a short distance farther south next to Pennsylvania Ave. The track was formerly Central Railroad of NJ.     Thinking steam engine runby, the engineer tried to make smoke at Pennsylvania Ave. |
