Plus keep in mind no one likes to shut off the HVAC when the trains are laid up, so even when they are not in service, they run almost continuously. Whenever I was on a train that was to be laid up (i.e. when I did "Mary" layups at CIY), I always went in the cab and hit the switch to cut off the HVAC. It's not hard to do. Still, no one does it. |
