The E had it's fare (sorry......fair) share of air conditioning issues with the R-32s. I once had on a couple of occasions had trains of R-32s where 5 or more cars of a 10 car train be really broiling, and Parsons Archer definitely took them out of service. The real problem is when they get laid up, no one wants to shut the HVAC down, and they then run for hours and hours while they are laid up. How long do you think they are gonna run, almost continuously until they crap out?? |
