Posted by chuchubob on Thu May 24 16:24:21 2012 Conrail Shared Assets Operation (CSAO) train WPCA11 (Camden to Deepwater and return) has been running with CSX SD40-2's 8817 and 8830, both delivered to Conrail in 1977. Thursday it had five more locomotives. NS SD70M 2617 and C40-9W 9596 were ferried to Deepwater to bring back empty coal train NS 507. CSX SD50-2 8608, Maine Central SD40M-2 619 (built in 1967 as Southern Pacific SD45 8892), and CSX SD40-2 8822 were ferried to SMS Rail Services, where I got my photos, to bring back an empty CSX ethanol train. All seven locos were running.
