GCT has an abundance of tracks. What it lacks is reverse capacity during the peak hours that would permit better utilizationnof existing platforms. As others point out: this is not the result of the current cost overruns, but using existing tracks would have lowered the initial cost. I know that has its disadvantages, but so did tunneling underneath an existing station. |
