From a previous message:Manhattan. Lexington IRT (4) and (6) trains operate in two sections: Between North Terminal and 125th Street, and between Grand Central and South Terminal. Extra M101 LTD service operates overnight between 42nd and 125th Streets. -------------- This would mean in the Bronx, that the #2 line and for folks closer to western side of the Bronx, the D-train will end up carrying huge amounts of riders. This does not sound like "just an extra 20 minutes of travel time. Nor the provision of M101 LTD service, and hopefully extra all night long M101 local buses - sound like "just an extra 20 minutes of travel time. Just another step along the way in turning the subways and transit into something that can not be depended upon. Mike |
