They are called LRVs but light weight they are not.The "light" in "light rail" has always referred to capacity, not weight. Since operations began in 1992 there have been 15 LRV vs automobiles/trucks and the LRV's win every time. Has there ever been a crash involving LRVs anywhere where the LRV didn't "win"? |
