I remember my first ride on a 42 - July 20 1969 a "D" put-in from 161 after the Yankee bat day game. It must have been sitting up in the pocket for a while; the day was hot in the 80s and the train came in with frosted/fogged up windows. There had to be a 30-degree difference between the station and the train. Big orange "D" sign up front - car number was #4656-7.wayne |
