Posted by Fulton Frank on Sat May 19 10:13:58 2012 So, going into Uni Citi yesterday on the Media Elwyn I caught my first RFS on an SLV. I whipped out the ole i-Phone.That's Arsenal's distant signal ahead displaying approach - yellow over red - probably one of the ga-zillion airport trains crossing over ahead of us.  But we got the railroad back before we got to the home signal and we flew into University City.  Bonus: Engineer was riding with the cab door open! Here we are with the controller in coast; the brake in release, 40 mph (MAS at Arsenal) on the digital speedo and a clear cab signal aspect. Way up at the top of my photo, you can see a sliver of white. That's a piece of paper sticking out of a slot that looks like a FAX machine. Do these cabs have FAX's? Would make sense to receive a Form-D like that.  |
