The Metroliner MUs hit 160.4 IIRC on the racetrack south (RR west) of Elizabeth on a quiet weekend test run. On the first SB revenue trip several times 124 by the digital speedometer in the rear cab. IINM the best the Acela hit was less than 10 mph faster in test although better in regular revenue than the MUs. Too bad. |
