RDC's are in evidence along with Hertzog RR (nee ATSF) 972, a GP9: Along with more Bomb BiLevels:  Next along the route we pass a maintenance yard for Hertzog (operator of the TRE) along with some MOW equipment:   As we approach DUS we start to see DART trains:  And before you know it, we're at Dallas Union Station:  Welcome to Dallas, y'all.... In the background is Amtrak's Texas Eagle, loading passengers on its way west to Ft. Worth and from there to LA. As much as I loved traveling last year on the Coast Starlight, I would not take the Eagle...an overnight layover in San Antonio, TX, ranging from 7 to 9.5 hours, is made in order to accommodate train coupling operations. That's ridiculous; I'd rather drive to San Antonio and hop on board there:  DUS has a nice collection of tailsign replicas from the great trains of the past that called on the station:     Twin sons of different mothers:  Take the long way home....
