Posted by Train Man Paul : Metro-North's Best Conductor FOR ALL 3 LINES!!! on Sat May 12 23:28:35 2012 From National Train Day GCT, 05/12/2012, An Acela trainset not only made it into GCT without any problems (seen here displayed proudly on Track 37), it also made it out without any problems (Fred G awesomely caught it at Woodlawn/CP 112). So much for some who thought it would not make it into GCT (WILL REMAIN NAMELESS!!). And for someone else who seemed to really want to see it here, you asked for it, YOU GOT IT!!! (Mr. Olog-Hai!!)  And a couple bonus pics!! Time for her up-close!!  Face-off!! Metro-North Vs. Amtrak!!!  The photographer suffered from MASSIVE tunnel vision, while at the same time had images of Acelas in his mind when he shot this!!!  And the beautiful Rosario Dawson (aka Trainmaster Connie Hooper of the Allegheny & West Virginia Railroad!! ;-)), who so enthusiastically and very affectionately called our kind, "Trainiacs", speaks good of this beautiful day and what it represents in the Vanderbuilt Hall!!
