In case you haven't been made aware from reading the postings, 76 St was NEVER intended to be any sort of a terminal but rather a local stop along a Pitkin Av subway that was intended to proceed farther out in Queens and also be connected to the LIRR ROW via a portal from UNDER the ROW rather than a ramp from above as is the case with the present Liberty Jct. Had the subway been built farther along Pitkin, there would have been another express station near Woodhaven Blvd east of which there would have been a junction point between the line to Rockaway and the line continuing out Pitkin. |
