Perhaps, but the bridge is already there and it would probably cost far less to strengthen it than to build a tunnel, which also would take many more years to construct and "destroy" the neighborhoods around it while doing so. I stand by my opinion that the Queensboro Bridge could be used for rail transit purposes if the powers that be really wanted this done. |
