The line makes way more sense as a subway line than as an LIRR line, especially at the time when they were converting it.Unfortunately, the airport was not yet in full swing. If the line would have survived just 10 more years, it would have been the ultimate already in place airport line from Penn Station. It's absolutely ASTONISHING that this line was allowed to rot, a line with a direct connection to the airport. |
