It works extremely well here in Switzerland. To get home I can take a bus or a tram/S-bahn combination or I can take a longer haul train one stop (if I'm starting out near the main station). Or I can take a ferry. One ticket, same price. I end up with tons of options -- enough so that I'm considering giving up my car entirely when the lease is up later this year. |
