Posted by Widecab5 on Mon May 7 23:45:09 2012 All:If of interest, the DART image collection has been compiled and is now posted at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/widecab/collections/72157629603153882/ The original files were scanned and compiled as part of preparing a presentation at the Urban Trransit Club of New York City on April 14, 2012. The images contained therein give a complete photographic synopsis of the DART Red and Blue light rail lines, its "Victory" spur (as the neophyte Green Line was known at first) and the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority heritage line. All are shown as they were by August 2006, with most images dating from June of 2004 and September 2005. I don't anticipate getting back to Dallas to update this archive until its "Phase II" expansions are complete sometime by 2015, but this should give a good illustration of DART light rail operations and their general historical origins through that time.
