You used a pretty bad example. What if you want to go from Riverdale to Co-op city? How about from Bay Ridge to Flatbush? I understand that we can't have EVERY one of these non-CBD trips covered by a rail line, but far too many of them rely on bus trips, or even a bus to bus transfer. Not only are these trips slow, but many heavily used bus lines are patronized to the point that, from an operations standpoint, they've become inefficient compared to rail solutions. |
