Offhand, I'd say the largest fleets of PCCs in the North America were Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Toronto, none of which were ever NCL properties. NCL is infamous for its practice of streetcar elimination.I don't remember where I read it, but there were numbers to back it up. Chicago is an excellent example of busification not being unique to National City Lines, as is the elimination of streetcars in every other city not controlled by NCL. |
