Posted by Dj Hammers on Mon Apr 30 21:53:31 2012 I had an excellent time at my first attendance of BERA member's day. It was quite an action-packed day. I even got to operate 1602!Brooklyn PCC 1001 navigating the switches  1001, 775, and 6102 Sitting During Lunch  
316 Sitting While 850 is about to leave for Sprague 
I found the trucks of PCC 1001, notably the track brakes, very interesting. 
6102 (foreground) will soon follow car 775 to the temporary end of the line, followed by plow 3152, forming a 3 car lineup. 
3152 rounds the curve to pull up behind us. 
A photo of 6102, taken right after yours truly operated it back from the temporary end of the line. I got congratulated for stopping 6102 smoothly and right on the mark. I figured releasing the brakes to minimum pressure below 3 MPH would do something like that for me. 
As the day winds down, 775 rests for a while before running to Sprague.
