Yup, but then, by American standards, there are very few "Canadians" in Seattle and Portland. Admittedly, I feel different when I go on vacation, but I felt very at ease in Vancouver and less on guard when compared to the other two cities on my trip, and far less on edge when compared to say, Philadelphia or DC.
