Christie made the right decision at the right time for New Jersey.As a long-time transit advocate, I would have liked to see the ARC (or equivalent) built, as well as the 7 to connections in Jersey. But as a person knowledgeable in the dynamics of regional politics, I also understand that that the ARC, like ESA, would improve the lives of commuters, but would also reinforce New York City's lock on the region's economic life. |
