I'm sure there's more than one pay phone in that particular station. Whether they work is another question.In either case, since the article only alluded to use of cell phones, it can be one of two possibilities: 1. The guy tried his cell phone first, only to discover there was no service, then did not search for a pay phone. 2. The guy found a pay phone, only to discover it wasn't working, then tried his mobile, only to discover it had no service. The report then omitted the part about finding the non-functional pay phone for whatever reason. I'm sure, in either case, he wouldn't have gone on to comb the station in search for a working pay phone, so instead he shot the video. Since he would already have his cell phone in his hand after trying to call 911, it only makes sense to skip over the pay phone search and go directly to shooting video. |
