I propose to have a lot less oil pumped, refined, used.re-read the comments about disposals. the aluminum is constantly being reused. steel "tin cans" are constantly cycled--check the webcams of NS trains w/ coil steel cars. as tyo spome plastics, check out Trex which is now common decking/stair material. as to the cost of re using/processing plastics, I repeat, stiff taxes/outright bans in some instances are needed to reduce the first time usage. As to age/likely mortality, if I mimic my mother I have 28 years to go--she was 1 day short of 96. And if I keel over tomorrow, I still hope for massive changes in resource usage on this planet. |
