The BRT spent far more on the 14th St line than they expected by having to build a subway between Montrose and Bushwick/Aberdeen.At least the BRT was solvent enough to absorb the cost. The IRT was originally planning on having the Nostrand Ave line extend southward as an el, but when that was blocked, nothing was built. |
