They ran the buses in ADDITION, not "instead" of.No, it's not an opinion, it was INSTEAD of. Instead of running trains as they should have, they ran the buses in between instead, covering what the trains were supposed to do. They wanted to abandon both east end lines, east of Ronkonkoma and east of Speonk respectively. The only reason they ran the few trains they did was because they couldn't officially abandon it. A RR running a bus does not always mean they want to kill the train. But in this case that was in fact the case. They ran the buses INSTEAD of the trains when they could. |
