If they were pressuring the MTA to restore service or get new service, the politicians would do so publicly and get as much press attention as possible. Especially in an election year and especially when they have to get people to sign petitions to put them on the ballot (primary and general elections). Yes, even incumbents have to file petitions to get on the ballot. |
