A Greenport-branch style station serving one car and having no ticket machine would probably cost very little. What the Lower Montauk would really need if passenger service was to return would be major track work. The condition of the track between the junction of the Bushwick Branch and LIC itself is low, and trains (in my experience) don't top 20 MPH over it. |
