It's not funny how it's more fast and convenient to drive to Mineola but you live within five minutes walk from Hempstead.I live on the South Shore in Zone 7, but because the only spots left open middays are in the rapist gallery section of the lot, I go to Mineola and park there. My home station and Mineola both have 2 tph service, but it's still faster to drive to Mineola, pay for the parking and be assured that I get a spot than to drive to my home stations, find no spot and then drive to Mineola to find a spot there. My brother, OTOH, disposes with this non-sense and simply drives down to Queens, parks at my grandmother's and takes the bus to 179th Street for a fraction of the cost and with nearly no-time penalty. |
