Posted by LuchAAA on Sat Mar 31 20:55:16 2012, in response to Re: Long Island City..., posted by tunnelrat on Sat Mar 31 17:43:36 2012. i wish i could find old articles in the Ridgewood Times. they covered this story extensively.the plan involved running both LIRR and NYCT along the line. speaking of that line, DOT installed a traffic light on 88th Street in Glendale just feet from the grade crossing. when the light turns red cars overlap the tracks. luckily few trains run that line these days or there would be trouble. |
